About Me

Writer, Mother, Coffee House Enthusiast, Hockey Fan, Amateur Conspiracy Theorist, Obsessively Punctual, Lover of the Opera ...

I have loved reading for as long as I can remember. In fact, I can tell you exactly the book that convinced me to become a writer. Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews. I was eleven years old when I read the novel, and I became so overwhelmed with the idea of creating characters and stories that readers could love the way I loved Flowers in the Attic, that I started writing my first novel shortly thereafter.

Fortunately for you all, that eleven year old little girl's work will never be published, but it started my love affair with writing and diving into worlds and characters that I could get lost in. In 2015, I published my first book, On the Other Side of Aether, and am working to bring the whole series to print by the end of this year.

Outside of writing, and as my introductory line suggests, I'm always incredibly busy. I recently graduated with a master's degree in social work. When I'm not at work, I can be found shouting near-obscenities at hockey games on television or occasionally finding the time to see a Live at the Met in HD performance at my local theater. Now that I'm done with school, I'm trying to re-adjust to having free time. It sounds simple, but believe it or not, it's a struggle to structure that newfound free time into something productive.
But I'm working on it ...
